Crafty Gals Corner Challenge #242 Easter/Spring

Welcome, welcome and welcome!  I hope you all had a wonderful Easter celebration (if you celebrate).  Here at my house, it was a very nice and rainy day.  Bob hasn't been feeling to good so we had mac and cheese (his favorite) for dinner with ice cream for desert.  We don't need a big celebration as long as you are together with the one(s) you love.  Let's get this party started.  Here are the sponsors.

Prize ~ 3 Digital Images

Prize ~ 3 Digital Images

These two sponsors are truly wonderful.  They both have images that cross the gamut.  From beautiful ladies to possums, if either of these companies do not have an image you are looking for I really don't have any suggestions.  Go show some love and leave a thank you please!

Now on to my project.  I am using an image from Colour of Love called Tulip Possum's Easter.  Let me show you what I came up with.

I love possums.  I even have one that lives under the back
deck and I named it Betty.  They are adorable.  Even big ones.
I started my creation by printing it on some Koh-I-Noor
marker paper (Walmart).  I next started coloring.  This image
took quite a long time.  I used my Prismacolor Pencils.
No markers were used butthe paper is excellent for pencils
also.  Green cardstock, and a motled bright color background
and then the image and the card front is complete!

Now you can see the background paper used on the front of
the card.  I downloaded the font from Dafont.com.  It is called
Lucy said ok (personal use only).  I thought it was cute with the
hearts.  So 1st is the bright yellow card, then more of the
motled color dp and finally I printed the Happy Easter.

Here's the back and my inital.

I am very happy with the way this card turned out.  I now have 4 Possum images from Color Of Love.  I will be back next month with another one of my creations.  So until then...

The Crafter's Cafe Challenge # 295 Circles

Hello everyone and welcome to another edition of my blog.  Today I am bringing you a project for challenge #295 of Crafter's Cafe.  But first let's see who our sponsor is.

Prize~3 images

This sponsor is one of my many favorites.  Always a great image of various subjects.  The images are crisp and clean and can be used on any machine with print and cut capabilities.  Go show some love and give them a thank you.  No sponsors, no challenge.

On to my project.  The image I am using is called Beach Hut Holiday #158.  This was such a fun image to create with.  Here is what I have designed.

Isn't this image amazing?  First I colored each house a single
color.  Next the beach chair and lastly the beach ball.  All
were colored using my Prismacolor Pencils.  But then I ran
into a vexing problem.  What color is sand?  I racked my
brain.  Finally I googled sand and came up with images
that put me in the right direction.   Sandbar Brown is the color
I chose.

Here is a much closer look.  I am really happy with the way
the sand looks.  The hill behind the green beach hut is the
same color of the sand.  I just colored it with a heavy hand.
The teeny tiny shells I picked up at a garage sale.  I grabbed
a chipboard sun from a sticker set and plopped a pretty
orange flower gem from Joanns on it.  The bathing beauties
and the title of the card are from a Graphic 45 collection
titled "On The Boardwalk".

I am sorry but I can't show you the inside.  I do not know if
the person I sent it to,  has gotten it yet.  So here is the back
of the card with my sticker and initial.

This was a fun one to create.  I hope you like it and it has gave you some ideas for our challenge.  So until next month...

Stay Healthy, Stay Safe and know you are very blessed.

Just wishful thinking!

Crafty Gals Corner Challenge ##241 Make It Green!

Hello everyone!  I have a very fun project to share for this challenge.  Living next door to me is a little boy and girl (4&5).  They are the cutest.  I have made them something for St. Patricks Day.  Here are the sponsors for this months challenge. (in alphabetical order)

Prize~2 Digital images, 1 pad of digital papers 'mini'
and the possibility of being a guest designer.

Prize~3 Digi Stamps

I am new to Mirtillamente.  I like what I see so far.  Crisp and clean.  The Paper Shelter is one of the all time favorite of mine.  Please visit and say a thank you and give them some love.

Now on to my project.  My image is from the Paper Shelter and is named Leprechaun. This is what I have created.

I love these little baskets.  These are some from
Simply Crafty SVG's.  Here is the link for the basket.
Springtime Basket.  This SVG pattern is free right now.  So
go get it!  I cut the pieces out using my electronic cutter.  All
the papers are ones I had in my St. Patricks Day box.  No
coloring on this image.  The Paper Shelter provides colored
ones.  Here are the details...

This is the one for the little boy.  I have used papers that I have
in my St. Patricks Day plastic box.  The little gold shamrock
stickers and all the others were included in the box.

This is the little girls.  I have used a deep dark purple for the
basket.  All the panels for the sides are the same just in
different positions.

All of the pictures above are the sides of the baskets.  So fun
to create.

I sure hope that you have gotten inspiration from my project.  I will let you know next month how the children liked them.  So for now...

Stay Healthy, Stay Safe and know you are blessed.
