The crafter's Cafe Challenge #304

Hello there!  Time for the first challenge of 2024 for The Crafters Cafe.  The challenge is live once a month on the 15th.  Each challenge does have a theme.  Challenge #304 theme is edges.  Distressed, deckles or something fancy.  Hope that you can play along.  Our sponsor for this challenge is:

Prize~£8.50/3 images

I LOVE Polkadoodles!!!  I have been using this companies images for a long time now.  They are crisp and clean and come with so many extras.  Go on over and say a big thank you and show some love!

Now my project is titled Bob the Dog in a Boat.  Here is what I created.  (short and sweet)

I printed the image and did a print and cut using my Silver
Bullet cutter.  Next I printed the extra paper (included) of the
sky and sea.  Propped an extra flag, seagull and life ring on
foam squares for some dimension.  Blue glitter outlines the
waves hitting the boat.  My edge is metallic blue washi tape
around the entire image.

This is another piece of provided paper.  I printed the saying
and stuck the paper on the inside of the card.

This is going to be my hubby's Valentines Day Card.  Hubby is named Bob.  We have a 27ft fishing boat that is moored next to the house.  So Bob the Dog in a Boat is the perfect card.

So glad that you could visit today.  From my heart to yours,

Stay Healthy, Stay Safe and know that you are blessed!

I have had the pleasure of designing with these two sponsors for many years.  They both have amazing images that will suit any occasion.  They are crisp and clean and such a joy for print and cut.  Please go show some love and please say a thank you!

On to my project for the 'Winter Fun' Challenge.  My adorable image is from Fred She Said and is titled Emma and the snowball.   Let's get started.

To begin I went over to Sam Calcotts  Mixed Up Crafts
website and followed along to make my card.  It is called
Double Z-Fold Card with a difference.  Please go visit!

My card is using a scrapbook paper kit by Elizabeth Crafts.
I picked this up at my trusty thrift store.  I have used AC
card stock for the blue base.  Turquoise card for the mat
and then using the special papers created the actual card.

Next step is the focal point.  Here is Emma and her snowball.
I printed out the colored image onto card.  I dressed it up
with some Liquid Pearls for the snow.  Cut out very small
letters for Warm Winter Wishes.  Matted it all on a black
circle and I have a beautiful card for any occasion.

When you stretch out the card you can see all the layers and
how the card moves.  Love how this turned out!

That's it for January 2024.  I hope this inspires you to come and play along.  Next month is February.  Can you guess the theme for the challenge?  I will see you then with the answer.

But for now stay safe, stay healthy and know that you are blessed.
