Challenge #197 3+ Layers

Gosh, challenge #197.  Lena, Crafty Gals Corner Challenge design team coordinator might have something up her sleeve for challenge #200.  Have to wait and see.  Another big announcement is that Crafty Gals Corner Challenge is going to be monthly.  Starting in August we will only have one challenge per month.  So my crafties, you will have plenty of time to post your amazing creations.

On to challenge #197.  Theme for this is 3+ layers.  Here are the fabulous sponsor(s).  Remember to go show some love!!!

Thank you sponsor(s).  Sponsor(s) are the fabric that make Crafty Gals Corner Challenges possible.  Love our sponsor(s).

So tonight I am writing this blog on a PC.  My big iMac is passing on.  The video card is crapping out.  So looks like another PC for me.  I love my iMac but I am designing in Windows 10 much more now.  So bear with me as this may have some booboo's.

I am using a image from Fabrika Fantasy called Pirate Parrot 1.  This image was very hard for me to work with.  Nothing wrong with the image it is beautiful.  But, something wrong with me in trying to show it off.  Finally I got out my old Scrappy Do files and low and behold I had a pirate ship.  The parrot was happy and I was  happy.  So here is the card that I came up with.

Everything is from my scrap file cabinet.  I used MTC (Make The Cut Software) to create a print and cut of the Pirate Parrot 1.  Waves paper is from K & Co.  Blue shiny and black base are Tuesday Morning bulk papers a few  years back.  The saying is Ahoy Matey!

Another PNC using MTC and the saying is on G45 On The Boardwalk series.  The saying is Shiver Me Timbers.

Happy Birthday is printed on vellum.  I also used scrap background paper.

Saw this on my Tuesday Morning Birthday trip in May.  I just had to have it.  I embossed using Gold powder from Judi Kins.

That's it for the month of July.  I will be back here on August 17th for a brand spanking new challenge from Crafty Gals.

Bright Blessings, Jana

Challenge #196 Christmas in July

Hello my crafties!  Yes it's that time of year when we celebrate Christmas in July!  I love this time of year.  Seeing all the new Christmas designs and trying to decide what type of cards to make this year.  Pure happiness.   So I have a little tag to show you but let's see who are our sponsor(s) this challenge.

Bugaboo Stamps
Prize~$12 Gift Certificate

Digital Delights by Loubyloo
Prize~$5 Gift Certificate

Wow! Such great sponsors.  Please use the links and go show some love.  They all would love you to visit.

Now on to my project.  I am using a really super cute file called Snowy, Slippy and Flurry Digital Stamp from Digital Delights by loubyloo.  Such a wonderful image.  Crisp and very clear.  Just love using Digital Delights Digital Images for projects.  I totally used scraps and some colored pencils by Sivo.  These pencils are from India.  I have to admit, these are not comparable to Prismacolors.  Just some I picked up at Walmart a couple of years ago.  So here is my project:

The tag is made of leftover chipboard from last Christmas.  The package
is wrapped in cream colored paper (Costco) and is double sided (Chevrons on other side)  Ribbon is reversible.  One side is silver the other is bright blue.
I dug out the Christmas wrapping box and found a leftover red ribbon cascade.

Here is the tag straight on.  The snowflakes were made with a Fiskars
punch.  SNOW letters are colored with Ultra Fine Sharpies.  Ribbon
is 1/8th inch beige.

This is a extra-large pic of my Christmas in July tag.  Now you can really
see the Digital Delights image and all the details much clearer.

I hope that this little tag gives you some ideas.  I love making my own tags for any occasion.  But Christmas is extra special. Thank you for joining me for Christmas in July.  I'll be back on July 31st for another new challenge from Crafty Gals Corner.

Southern Girls 'Boys are the bomb' challenge

Hello again!  I do hope that you are sung as a bug in a rug.  It's getting cold in Australia/NZ.  Where I am located it's about ready to heat up.  I am in the USA in the state of Oregon.  Quite a way from southern hemisphere.  I have an adorable baby boy book that I made for my dear friend Michelle.  She has her first grandson and I thought I needed to make her a brag book.  Oh, first let me tell you where I got the step by step instructions.  May May Made it Paper Bag album. I just love MayMay.  Her instructions are concise and I love being able to follow along with the video at my own speed.

Now for what I have created for Boys are the Bomb. (I kinda went overboard on the pictures)

Finally the back cover.
Now i have to tell you, this project took a good month to make.  Of course the first of any new project takes the longest.  I could put one together in a couple of days now.

I hope you have enjoyed seeing my Boys are the bomb paper bag album.  Give it a try.  You will be amazed at the WOW factor you will receive.  That's it for this month.  See you again soon for another challenge at Southern Girls.

I love the Paper Shelter.  Her images are so creative and well thought out.  I took advantage of the pre-colored image and background.  This file is called Summer Holidays.  The Paper Shelter  Summer Holidays file includes:
  • Set comes with:
1 Inked Digital Stamp (outlines) ready to color in JPG format on a white background

1 background/paper matching the character WITHOUT the character
1 Composition: The character on the background

So here is what I have created.

Here she is on the beach enjoying the summer fun. The "Fun in the sun" is a clear stamp
from INKADINKADO #97521.

I used the pre colored image provided by The Paper Shelter.
My sticker and information about my blog.
That is it for this fortnight.  Have a very safe and happy 4th of July tomorrow and I will be back in 2 weeks with another project/challenge from the Craft Gals Corner Challenge.
