Crafty Gals Corner Challenge #250 'Tis The Season'

Hello and welcome back to my improved blog.  It needed a little updating.  After all it's 10 years old.  Boy seems like a long time.  Our challenge is 'Tis The Season'.  Here are our sponsors:

Prize~2 Digital Images

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Prize~3 Sets of Digi's

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

What a way to end 2023 with these sponsors.  Love them both.  Really nice images and a joy to work with them.  Please go and give each of them a thank you and some love.

Now on to my project.  My digi is from Doctor Digi and is titled Christmas Chaos!   Here we go!

When I selected this image I had to laugh.  My orange tabby
named 'little one' climbed the tree the first year we had him.
Thank goodness that it is a fake tree.  Only broke a couple of
ornaments that were easily replaced.  I was one mad mama.
I colored the tree using my Shuttle Art Alcohol Markers.
Did a print and cut on the image and used some very old
doubled sided card stock for the base.  Printed the title of my
image on vellum and hot foiled using blue.

I backed my sentiment with light aqua paper and foiled the
sentiment in royal blue.  I love using doubled sided card stock.

The back.  The little puff balls I have had forever!

Well that is a wrap for 2023.  Crafty Gals will be back in January with another themed challenge.  Thank you so much for your participation this year.  So from my heart to yours,

Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year!

What great sponsors.  Both of them have clear and crisp designs that are a dream to color.  Please go show some love and give each of them a big thank you.

My project for this challenge is from Sheepski Designs and is titled Hot Chocolate.  Here is what I created.

I started with dark brown heavy cardstock for a base.  Mint
green and then pink solid card and two really pretty printed
paper round out the stack.  See the last piece of paper,  it has
on it tea pots.  Very special paper of mine.  The image was
colored with my Prismacolor Pencils.  I paper pieced the foam
for the hot chocolate and the mint greet sweater.  Finally a snow
flake and a gem to finish the front.

The inside is papers by Crafters Companion.  I used some a
metal die set to make the medallion.  The sentiment is Take
Good Care Of Yourself.

Here is a better photo.

The back and my sticker and inital.

Well that is it for 2023.  On to 2024.  I hope you all have a wonderful holiday season.  I will be back in January with a new blog look (keep your fingers crossed).  So from my heart to yours,

Crafty Gals Corner Challenge #249 Dots and/or Stripes

Hello all!  How was your Halloween?  Here at home I make special packages filled with goodies for the littles across and next door to me.  But, my daughter and daughter in law live in a very affluent area in Salem, OR, USA.  They are finding out that their area is where everyone loves to trick or treat.  They had a grand total of 406, yes 406 kids visit.  They gave out 6 really large bags of candy (the Costco size ones).  Just amazing.  That's my update!  Here are this months sponsors.

PRIZE~~$10 Gift Certificate

******************************************************************************

Well these sponsors are the best.  Always generous with their prizes.  Very very nice images that are a joy to work with.  Please go show some love and leave a thank you.  They do appreciate it!

On to my project.  I have used an image from Mirtillamente called Gertrude Autumn.  Here we go.  (I didn't link my image as Mirtillamente is under construction right now)

I just love it when I have a table cloth that matches
what I create.  Makes displaying so much easier.  Here
is the envelope.  It was made from AC cardstock.

I colored Gertrude with all of my colored pencils and my
Shuttle Art markers.  I also used my sparkle gel pens to
add dimension.  The card was designed from a site.  I
downloaded it and made a card with a fold at the top.
All the papers are from a very old book from DCWV
dated 2013.  The solid color paper is card from AC
Cardstock.  Autumn Mode On is cut using a die from
KSCrafts.

Here is the inside.  You can now see the papers.

The back.

Once I decided what I was going to create this card came together very quickly.  The start of a new project always takes the longest time.  So from my heart to yours,

Stay Healthy, Stay Safe and know you are blessed!!

Crafter's Cafe Challenge #302 Flowers

Hello friends.  I hope this post finds you well and warm.  It's rainy and windy here is Oregon.  I just got back from the grocery store.  It's Fall!!!  That means bean soup and some stew down the road.  Gosh I love this time of year.  So the theme for challenge #302 is Flowers.  We are teaming up with Double Trouble.

Here is the link:
https://doubletroublechallenge.blogspot.com/2023/10/Challenge-150.html

Now we only have one sponsor for this challenge.  Here she is...
Beccy's Place
Prize~$10 Voucher

Gosh I love working with the images from Beccy's Place.  They are beautiful and print perfectly.  So please go share some love and say a quick thank you!  Thanks gang!

Now my image for the theme 'flowers' is Daisy Elements Digital stamp.  I have used the single Daisy and the sentiment 'Wishing you Sunshine & Daisies'.  Here is my project.

I have made a shaker card.  I colored the daisy with my
Shuttle Art Alcohol Markers.  I set it aside and made a vase
and cut out 6 cardboard ones and glued them together
to make the shaker frame. I made the back of the vase and
the top layer out of metallic silver.  I dug around my embellies
and found some sequins and some little red circles.  Next I
added some little white beads and made sure I did not over
fill.  I used red card for the base and the envelope.  It is a
slimline card.

I printed the sentiment on vellum and heat set it.  The
background paper is from the Goddess of the Garden series
made by G45.

Finally the back.

Well that is my project for October 2023.  I'll be back next month with another project to give you inspiration.  So from my heart to yours...

Stay Safe, Stay Healthy and know you are blessed.

Crafty Gals Corner Challenge #248 Halloween Colors

Well it's that time of year again.  Fall/Halloween colors.  I love this time of year.  I just got back from the grocery store and got the ingredients for bean soup.  I'll make it sometime soon.  Now let's see who our sponsors are for challenge #248.

Prize~3 Digital Images

🖍🖍🖍🖍🖍🖍🖍
I have to say that these 3 sponsors are wonderful to work with and very generous.   Please go show some love and say thank you.

My project is using an image from Last Minute Manda called Franky's Pumpkins Digital Stamps.  Most of you know that in my neighborhood I have 4 littles (kids) that I make holiday items for.  Well here is the 2023 edition of Halloween Baskets.

Here they are.  3 boys and 1 little girl Halloween Baskets.  The
basket SVG pattern is from Simply Crafty SVGS and is
called Gone Batty box.  This is a freebie  I colored each
Franky using a mix of Prismacolored pencils and Shuttle
Art Alcohol Markers.  They werecut out and saved to grace the box.
Each of the boxes have panels from Graphic 45 'Steampunk Spells'.

Here are the first two.

Second two.

Here are the Batty Bats for the front.

They last two.  For the little girl I have used purple for the box
and put a pink bow on her bat.

So that is it for Halloween treats for the littles this year.  I may make 4 wrappers for the adults with a  big Hershey Bar.  I will think on that one.  I still have time.

Please have a very safe and fun Halloween.  I won't be giving out candy.  But I will buy a sack at Costco of the ones hubby and I eat.  So from my heart to yours,

Stay Healthy, Stay Safe and know you are blessed!

Crafter's Cafe Challenge #301 Childrens Fashion

Hello everyone!  This challenge is about children's fashion.  Heck I don't know about kids fashion.  Last time I bought school clothes was 1993 for my daughter.  I decided to use a summer image.  I don't think that swimsuits for little girls have changed much.  On to the sponsors.

Prize~~2 Digi Images

Fred She Said Designs offers a wide variety of digital products with a floral flair and cute characters too - Digi's, Pre-coloured images, Papers, Sets, Fred's Flower Kits, and even digital cutting files.  Have some fun with Fred!
 Prize $10 voucher

Wow two sponsors that are so generous with images.  Please everyone, go show some love and maybe say a quick thank you!

On to my creation.  I am using an image called Popsicle from All Dressed Up.  Here is what I finally decided on.

Well I learned that you don't take pics of a dark card base on a
dark backdrop.  Live and learn.  I made a slim line card using
KSCraft Crown set.  Light blue card and next is some paper
that has parasols on it.  I used Prisma Colored Pencils and I
found a new paper that I really really like.  It's marker paper
made by Koh-I-Noor.  I found it at Walmart and it's not really
expensive.  Go give it a try.  I added some stickers that are
summer like.  The shells are from a thrift store.

The inside.  You might be able to make out what the base of
the card actually looks like.  The inside is light blue card and
the Hello and Vacation are cut from the dies that KSCraft
Crown set included.

The back with my label and initial.

So what do you think?  I think it turned out pretty good.  I learned something new about taking pictures.  Now next Month is October.  Our theme is flowers.  So get your thinking cap on and join us.  There are prizes to be won!  So from my heart to your,

Stay Healthy, Stay safe and know you are blessed!

Crafty Gals Corner Challenge # 247 Signs of Fall

Hello everyone!  How are you doing?  Has the heat finally simmered down in your area?  Here where I live we are over the hot weather.  It sure is showing signs of fall.  Trees are starting to turn fiery colors and what little rain we have had sure helped the wild fires.  This months challenge is all about fall.  We only have one sponsor and she is a biggie!  Let's get started.

Prize~~$10 Gift Certificate

I personally have been using Beccy's Place digital images for quite a few years.  She images are crisp, clean and just plain fun!  Please go and leave some love and a thank you!

For my signs of fall project, I chose Autumn Blessings.   Here is what I ended up with.

I colored the image using my Prismacolor Pencils, Shuttle Art
Alcohol Markers and my Arteza Pencils.  I colored the vines to
look like grapes.  The background image is one that I got from
the store using SCAL 5 software for my cutter.

This is the inside.  I changed up with colors on the back-
ground.

The back.

Now the challenge for October is related to Halloween.  If you don't celebrate, just use the colors you think would represent Halloween.  So from my heart to yours,

Stay safe, stay healthy and know you are blessed!
