think that this will be a really fun game.

On to my project.  I have the Waddles & Chubbs DigiDoodles winter buddies.  I saw this digi and I knew immediately I had to have it for a special someone for a Christmas card.  Now, I am notorious for making cards and then not sending them.  I will send out cards this year.  It may be 2020 but I will send them out.

So here is my creative inspiration for our 6th anniversary blog hop!

Isn't this image adorable.  A certain someone is going to love this.  I colored
the image using Prismacolor pencils.  I then wanted a Aurora Borealis for the
background.  I searched on BING for free aurora borealis image.  Then I print
it out at 5 x 7, cropped where I wanted it and put it on the card.
Here is another background I printed out and cropped. Stuck it on some backing paper and then on the card itself.  The inside is embossed with WOW SILVER.  The saying is 'Best wishes for a magical Christmas'.  I didn't put anything on the back (I need to make some new logo stickers).

That is it for me.  I wish everyone a joyous Christmas (YULE) and a very happy New Year 2020.

Remember to search for my specIal letter to get entered into the prize drawings.

Your next stop is Jeanie!  If you get lost go to the Crafty Gals Corner Challenge. (or look at the top of my page).

Autumn Colors #201 Crafty Gals Corner Challenge

Hello my crafties.  I have a new project for the  new challenge at Crafty Gals Corner Challenge.  The theme for this month is AUTUMN COLORS.  I have a very large project to share in a few minutes.  But first, lets see who our amazing sponsor(s) are.

PRIZE~$12 Gift Certificate

PRIZE~3 Digital Images

PRIZE~$5 Gift Certificate

PRIZE~2 Digital Images

4 fantastic and amazing sponsor(s).  They each have fabulous designs.  Spread some love crafties!

This card was a troubled child.  The coloring with my Prismacolor pencils went very well.  But the image is so big that I had to make an 8" x 8" card.  I usually work with 6"x6".  So this is where the challenging part came in.  I am sorry but I only have pic of the completed project.  In all honesty, I just wanted this done and gone.  (It's going to the girls for Thanksgiving)  So let me show you what I came up with.

Here is the finished card.  I colored the image from Colour Of Love called Autumn Timekeeper with my Prismacolor Pencils. (email me if you want the list of colors used  The solid color is from American crafts. The DSP is G45 from the Steampunk Spells series. The metal ribbon threaders are some I picked up ages ago.  Brads American crafts.  Teeny tiny beads that are buggers to thread I got at a tag sale many moons ago.

The inside background is DSP G45 Steampunk Spells.  Solid color American Crafts. The Corners are dies from Crafters Companion.  These are De'Sire Classiques called Flourishing Vines.  I added a jewel to the center of each corner.

Here you can see the jewel.

Can you see them?  The little tiny beads that I decided to thread onto some
really pretty yarns?  They are tiny aren't they.
Here is a better closer look.  I love the way it looks on the card.  Next time
I will use either embroidery floss or larger beads.

Here is a close up of the metal (very sharp edges) threaders.  Also you can see the
DSP from G45.  It has clocks!

And again here is the finished card.  I am going to hand carry it to the girls
Thanksgiving day.  I'm bringing the spinach dip!

Well that's it for this months challenge.  Now next month, Crafty Gals Corner Challenge will be celebrating their anniversary.  Look for something exciting and fun.  There may be a prize from me personally.  Until then,  bright blessings.

Team Trace Challenge Christmas

Hello and welcome to another challenge for Southern Girls Challenges.  Here in the USA we are preparing for Halloween.  It's a big, big holiday for young and old.  But, lets go ahead and start the Christmas themed challenges.  This challenge is sponsored by  Krafters Cart and Oddball Art Company.

I have used an image from Oddball Art Co. by Lizzy Love called Kawaii Christmas Fox.  Such a fun image to use for Christmas.  So here is what I came up with.

The original image only had 3 ornaments on the left hand side.  So using my MTC software I duplicated them across the entire image.  The yellow card base and the blue backing square are American Crafts.  The holy sprigs are scraps.  I used my Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers to color Mr. Fox.  I made a mask and then used pastel chalks to make the background.

The inside of the card has more holly sprigs made from scraps.  The background paper is American Crafts.  I embossed the saying with gold WOW powder and the stamp is made by Embossing Arts Co. circa 1995  #479-J Magical Christmas (company is now out of business).  I find a lot of stamps at thrift stores.  I just love a treasure hunt.

Thank you so much for stopping by today.  I will see you in a couple weeks for a new challenge.

Happy Halloween!!

Crafty Gals Corner Challenge #200 Halloween colors

Did you see?  This is challenge #200.  What an achievement.  Congratulations go to Samantha and Lena and all the DT members.  This is a fantastic challenge blog and I am proud to be a member.

OK, on to this challenge #200 which is Halloween colors.  First lets see who our sponsors(s) are.

PRIZE~$5 Gift Certificate

PRIZE~1 Digital Image

PRIZE~Two Digital Images &
 Two Coordinating Digital Paper Sets

WOW!  These sponsor(s) are amazing and such talented artists.  Please go and show some love.

Now on to my creations.  I have 2 cards to show you.  The first showcases my weird sense of humor and the second is a new card fold I have tried.

The first is a Doctor Digi's stamp called Wiz Doodles.  Here he is...

I saw this image and knew exactly what I wanted to create.  Doesn't he look
like he is doing the dance to Thriller?  So I found a disco background and a
mirror ball and then put Wiz Doodles with the sign.

I decided he was competing in a dance contest with his cool Thriller moves.
So here is the trophy he won.

The Happy Halloween was found in the gallery for Make the cut software.  It
is the cutting program I use currently.  All paper is from DCWV big stack from
2013 Halloween/Autumn.
Now this little cutie is from Digital Delights. She is Sorceress Samantha.

This card design is fairly simple.  (in other words I can't find the darned link)
I found the link.  Here it is.
Dawns Stamping Thoughts. (2015) the link has all the measurements.

So here is the side view.

And the back where I will write a short note.

Here are my two Halloween cards.  I think they turned out really cute.  Bonus
I learned a new card fold.  Try it sometime.

That's it from me for October.  Look for a new challenge to appear on November 13, 2019.  See you then and thanks so much for visiting.

Bright Blessings and a very Happy Halloween!

Challenge # 199 Fall Colors!

Hello and welcome back to Crafty Gals Corner Challenges!  So glad to have you visit again.  For this months challenge the theme is Fall Colors.  So put those thinking caps on and please join us.  You have until October 7th to get your entries in.  Remember only 3 entries per person.

Here are our fabulous sponsors for challenge #199.

PRIZE~3 DIGITAL IMAGES

PRIZE~3 DIGITAL IMAGES

Please go show our sponsor(s) some love.  They would love to hear from you.

So my project is from Crafty Sentiments-Mia.  She is such a wonderful image to color!  Crisp and clean when printed.  Thank you so much Crafty Sentiments for this image.

Now I wanted to make a windy scene for Mia.  Do you think I could come up with something neato?  Not on your last dollar.  Zip nada.... So I had gotten a freebie from Mary at SVGCuts. It was the perfect tree.  So this is what I created for Fall Colors.

Here is Mia.  I have used American Crafts 12x12 yellow.  Scraps of dark red
and dark brown brads,  I colored her using Prismacolors.  The tree and leaves
are cut from a Big DCWV Halloween/Fall book that is 5 years old.  I printed
the Welcome Fall on a light yellow and cut the shape using MTC.

This is the inside.  You know me, scrap printed paper and some stickers I got
last weekend at St. Vinnies Thrift Store.
The back.  I am designing a new label and will have it done soon.

Short and sweet this challenge.  I do hope you have a wonderful month ahead.  See you in October!

Team Trace Anything Goes Challenge

It's time for another challenge to start for Southern Girls Challenge Blog.  I sure hope that you can join us.  It is open world wide.  But if you are from AU/NZ you can be entered into a drawing especially for these two countries.  I really hope that you can join us!

This challenge theme is 'Anything Goes'.  I needed to make a birthday card for a special someone.  I try to out do myself each year.  This year I really have done it.  This is called an Square Exploding Box.  I found this SVG file from Simply Crafty SVG's.
Here is the link:  https://www.simplycraftysvgs.com/shop/3d_designs/square-explosion-box/

I have to warn you.  This post is very picture heavy.

Just starting to cut out the file.  I use Make The Cut software and my KNK Zing.

I fell in love with this paper.  It's nice and stiff.

Here are the 4 layers to the square exploding box.
(I decided not to use the aqua paper in the final project).

Let's Decorate!  The Square Exploding Box File has the toppers for each
layer.  I chose to double the paper so that both front and back are decorated.
The paper I have used was found at a thrift store.  50 sheets for 3 dollars.
These papers all coordinated beautifully.  So this is the outside of the
square exploding box.

This is the Aqua middle section.

The other side of the Aqua section.

This is the 3rd layer and is light grey.

The other side of the 3rd layer.

Here is the Square Exploding Box with the top on.

The top of the square exploding box.

Blogger is being stubborn and won't allow me to add captions to the following pictures.  So the first 2 are beauty shots of the completed Square Exploding Box.  The third picture shows how the box explodes apart.  The fourth picture shows the box fully opened.  Now I haven't decorated this yet.  I can't show it decorated because a certain relative would know about it then.  So I will be updating the blog posts after the occasion has passed.  But I still think it's a pretty cool type of card with many ways of decorating it.

So happy you could come and visit.  Until next time,

Bright Blessings,
