How much fun can a crafter have in one challenge?  Looks like a bunch!  Won't you join us?

I have to confess.  I had a great idea when I picked my image back in March.  Could I remember what it was?  NOOOO  So here is what i came up with.  Remember the theme is stripes/spots.

Fred She Said sent quite a few colored images to
chose from colorwise.  I loved the red one.  I used
brads to mount it to orange heavy card.  I found a
printed striped paper and used a background frame
included in SCAL5.  The main body of the card is
from Canvas Corp. and purchased at Tuesday
Morning April of 2015.

I found more striped paper made by G45 and
used it for the inside.  The happy Birthday is
stamped with Versamark ink and heat embossed
using Ranger Adirondack Moss embossing powder.

Envelope front made from scrap brown paper.

Card back.

This is an interesting project.  The more I look at the card the more I like it.  Thank you for coming to our May 2022 challenge.  Make sure you check out the above link for the Double Trouble Challenge.  Until next month,

Yes it's still raining in Oregon.  Might

Crafty Gals Corner Challenge #231 Buttons and/or Bows

Hey there!  Time for another fabulous challenge from the Crafty Gals Corner Challenge.  This is challenge #231 and the theme is buttons and/or bows.  This challenge is sponsored by MoonFlower Digital Stamps.

Prize~$10 Gift Certificate

I have admired these digital stamps for ages.  Please go have a look.  Leave some love also!

My project is designed with an image from MoonFlower Digital Stamps and it is named Ashlee Faerie Locks.  Here we go!

Here is the light lavender envelope made with
cardstock from a big package I purchased from
Tuesday Morning pre-covid.  So excited, having
lunch with the girls Saturday and just might be
able to visit Tuesday Morning.

I have colored Ashlee using Prismacolor Pencils.
I had some off white shiny card stock and using
a die from a slimline set, cut the flowers.  I inked
the edges with VersaMagic Dew Drops in green
and light purple. The flower centers are purple
buttons with green hemp twine tied in a knot.
I die cut leaves from green shiny cardstock
from DCWV 12x12 book (that's very old) and
put them behind the flowers. The paper behind
Ashlee is something I found in my miscellaneous
scraps.

Here is a better look. The words are from the
Bard himself.

These inside flowers are from purple and green
card.  The centers are from some lace I bought
many moons ago.  A Midsummers Night's Dream
is one of my all time favorites from Shakespeare.

The completed project.

I hope you have enjoyed what I have made and got a few ideas.  Oh Kitten update, they are thriving.  Their little legs are getting strong enough that it's time to find a playpen.  So until next time...
