The Crafter's Cafe #272 'Fantasy'

Do you like American football?  I am happy as a clam at high tide!  The Seattle Seahawks are playing pre-season football right now.  I am streaming the game on the windows computer in the craftroom.  Yes, I have 2 computers. Windows and Mac.  Enough about football, let's see who our sponsors are for this challenge.

Prize~$5.00  PDF book

Friends I had never heard of this store/artist before choosing a image for this challenge.  I have got to say I am very impressed.  The image is crisp and clean.  I can't wait to get one of her colorbooks.

On to my project.  It's not a card.  I created a picture and it now is hanging on my craftroom wall.  Let me show you what I came up with.

Here she is.  The image is called Dreamcatcher
Elf.
This image is simply beautiful.  Clean lines
and paths that are easy to follow.  It is just a
very fun image to color.  I used Prismacolor
Pencils, Arteza Colored Pencils and Prang Colored
Pencils.  I copied the image onto Canon Semi-
Transparent Marker Paper.  It is a great surface to
work on (great for colored pencils also).

Here is a close up of the image.

Here is another look.  The frame is made of a gold
very deeply embossed paper that I bought years
ago.  The inside mat is mirror paper from Dollar
Tree.

This is the back of the picture frame.
I wanted to cover the back.  I used 3
sets of cardboard stacked to make the
frame.

This is it for this week.  I am entering my project over at:

Thank you for stopping by.  Leave a comment I love to read them.  See you September 1st.

Stay healthy, safe and very blessed,

Challenge #222 ~ Summer Fun

Hello everyone!  We made it to August.  Where I live we have quite a few wildfires, and another heat wave should be here tomorrow.  Not as hot as the end of June but still up there at 105f.  Thank the good Lord that we have air conditioning.  I think I will just stay inside and start Christmas cards and wait until it starts to rain.  Then I can go outside and enjoy myself!  (true Oregonian)  Well on to this months challenge #222, Summer Fun.  But first let's see who our sponsors are (in alphabetical order).

Jan's Digi Stamps
Prize~$10 Gift Certificate

Polkadoodles
Prize~£8.50 Gift certificate

Twinkle Lane Designs
Prize~£8.00 Gift Certificate
(To be used on digital content only)

WOWSERS!  What a line up of sponsors.  These sponsors are so generous with sponsoring each year and having great images to create with.  Please go give each of them some love!

On to my project.  Since the theme is Summer Fun I thought something beachie would be good to use.  I am creating with a digi from Jan's Digi Stamps that is called The Sandbox.  For my project I am using just the sand bucket.  Here is what I came up with.

During Christmas in July, I had been looking over
on Simply Crafty Svg's for Christmas cards. While
there I found a Present Spinner Easel Card. That is
what we have here. I found a sun pattern and made
it to fit the opening and another one 1/4" bigger. The
holographic orange is from Dollar Tree. The other
orange is a scrap. The background paper is clouds
from Joann's. The sandcastles are stickers from
Tuesday Morning. I colored the sand bucket using
Prismacolor Pencils and then fussy cut out 2 of them (
one of them being a mirror). Glued them together with
shiny twine I accumulated from somewhere.

Here is the actual easel card bottom.  The paper
is from a holiday of the year type paper pad and I
grabbed it at St. Vinnies (thrift store).  The sticker
I put on is from the same set of stickers as the sand-
castles on the front.

Here is the finished project.  I love how you can
twirl the sand bucket and then let it go.  It spins
back and forth so easily.  Hopefully the person
will be surprised when opening the envelope.

Well that's it for this months project.  Don't forget about visiting the sponsors above.  So get your stuff out and please join us for Summer Fun!

Stay Safe, Stay extra healthy and please know you are very blessed!

The Crafter's Cafe Challenge #271 Anything Goes

I must apologize beforehand, this is going to be a rather short blog post.  Yesterday my hubby and I got our first Covid-19 vaccination.  I'm a little yucky and will lay down again after I get this written.  So here we go...

Our fabulous sponsor for this challenge is:

https://digidoodlestudios.com/
Prize: 3 Images

I just love working with the images from Digi Doodle Studios.  Everyone please go show them some love.  A simple thank you would be nice!

Here is my creation.  I am using the image called Party Cats.  Such a fun image to work with.  This is what I came up with.
I have colored the cats using Prismacolor
Pencils and Arteza Colored Pencils.  The solid
papers are American Crafts.  The printed paper
is from Hot Of The Press and called Fiesta.  I
paper pieced the balloons and the fence.  I used
a stitched die for the banner and the font I used
is called Mifone.

Now I don't know about you but I seem to
collect dies and then forget to use them.  I
have had this balloon die for a couple of
months.  I cut the balloons out of holographic
blue paper I got from the Dollar Tree Store.  The
background papers are from a thrift store.

The back with my new sticker.

That's it for August 1, 2021.  Make sure to come back on the 15th and see
what I have dreamed up.  I'm going to bed!

Stay safe, stay healthy and know you are very blessed,
