#270 The Crafter's Cafe Challenge Theme 'Layer it up'.

Hello everyone and welcome back!  One of my BFF's has moved back to her childhood area.  She always knew she would some day.  So they had a new house built (in a swanky area) and moved back.  I haven't seen it yet but I know it will be a show stopper.  But I am getting ahead of myself.  Let's see who our sponsors are for challenge #270 with the theme of LAYER IT UP.

Decosses Dynamite Doodles
Prize is the Touch of Class Kit

Zowie!  These 2 sponsors are so generous.  Please gang go show some love.

On to my project.  I am using a image from Fred She Said called Lovely Blossom and Butterfly Set.  There is a choice of fully colored or you can purchase a black and white set.  I chose to color my own.  So here we go!

I have colored my flowers, butterflies and leaves
with Prismacolor Pencils.  Solid card stock is American
Crafts.  The print is from a tissue paper wrapping.
So there are all the pieces.

Starting to put together the inside first.  Don't ask
me why, it is just the way I do things.  On to the
next stage.  Oh I use 3M Spray Adhesive.

Here is the front of the card.  I have used stitched
slimline dies for the layered background.

Here is how the flowers turned out.  I put a flower
sparkle in the middle and propped it up with a
large foam pop-dot.

This is a close up of the stitching.  It really does
add a lot to a card.

The inside.  Butterflies and leaves colored with
Prismacolor Pencils.  Background same as the
front.  I cut the words out using my 24" Silver
Bullet Pro cutter.

Don't know if you can see it very good but for my
birthday I splurged and bought a sealing wax kit.
Many moons ago, these were all the rage.
(I'm dating myself) Just something fun
and people can say it's a Jana original!

Thank you so much for paying me a visit.  I will see you on August 1, 2021 for another creation by Jana.

Crafty Gals Corner Challenge #221 Christmas in July

Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way!  Welcome to Christmas in July.  July is the month that us crafters start thinking about Fall and the Holidays.  So to get you in the mood, I have a Christmas in July project to inspire you!  Here are the sponsors for challenge #221.

Aren't these two sponsors fabulous?  I love working with both of them.  Crisp and clean images and/or colored images.  Go show some love people.

On to my project.  My image is from The Paper Shelter and is titled Christmas Carols.  I used the pre-colored images and dressed it up a bit.  Here is my project.

The envelope is made out of American Crafts and
the little red address area is just a Christmas Scrap.

This is the back of the envelope.  I PNC too small
of an image for the main card so I decided to put
it on the back of the envelope.

Here is the card.  I have used gold, red and green
fine glitter.  1/8 of an inch green ribbon and red
mirror card stock.

Here is the inside.  I rotated the background and
put 1/8 inch red ribbon to dress this up.  I used the
computer to print out the jolly sentiment.

Well that is it for Christmas in July.  I do hope you will play along on the challenge.  It's fun and we have some great prizes.  So until August 2021,

Stay Healthy, Stay Safe and be very very blessed,

Crafters Cafe Challenge #269 'Anything Goes'

Hello and welcome to my little corner of the blog-o-verse.  My name is Jana and I have been creating and designing paper creations since 2011.  This is my first post for Crafters Cafe Challenge Blog!  Can I tell you a little secret?  When I first started making cards I would look on the Crafters Cafe Challenge Blog for ideas.  I always wanted my own little cafe table and umbrella.  Well a few years later and here I am!

For challenge #269 lets take a look at who our sponsor(s) are.

Prize~$10 Gift Voucher

Wow!! Beccy's Place is such a wonderful sponsor.  Please show her some love!

My project features a freebie from Beccy's Place titled Garden Items.  Here is what I designed.

I have made an envelope with my handy dandy
WRMK Envelope maker (I love that thing).  I will
address it later.

Here is the card itself.  The image is from Beccy's
Place and called Garden Items. I printed this image
on GP #110lb cardstock and colored it using
Prismacolor Pencils and Arteza Pencils. The card
is beige and from The Paper House.  The background
papers are from a big stack that I ran across
at a thrift store near me. The "in the garden'
phrase is a stamp from Inkadinkado and I cut it
out with a stitched rectangle die from Spellbinders.

Here is a close-up of the vellum phrase that I used
for the inside.  I found a little packet of Vellum phrases
by Colorbok many moons ago.  They always come
in handy.  I decided that this is going to be a
sympathy card. I needed one. I don't keep them on
hand as I like to personalize each one.

The back with my sticker.  I put this sticker on
each card I make.

I would like to enter this card in the following challenges:

Thank you so much for visiting!  Will see you again on the 15th of the month!

Stay Safe, Stay Healthy and many bright blessings,
