Challenge #222 ~ Summer Fun

Hello everyone!  We made it to August.  Where I live we have quite a few wildfires, and another heat wave should be here tomorrow.  Not as hot as the end of June but still up there at 105f.  Thank the good Lord that we have air conditioning.  I think I will just stay inside and start Christmas cards and wait until it starts to rain.  Then I can go outside and enjoy myself!  (true Oregonian)  Well on to this months challenge #222, Summer Fun.  But first let's see who our sponsors are (in alphabetical order).

WOWSERS!  What a line up of sponsors.  These sponsors are so generous with sponsoring each year and having great images to create with.  Please go give each of them some love!

On to my project.  Since the theme is Summer Fun I thought something beachie would be good to use.  I am creating with a digi from Jan's Digi Stamps that is called The Sandbox.  For my project I am using just the sand bucket.  Here is what I came up with.

During Christmas in July, I had been looking over
on Simply Crafty Svg's for Christmas cards. While
there I found a Present Spinner Easel Card. That is
what we have here. I found a sun pattern and made
it to fit the opening and another one 1/4" bigger. The
holographic orange is from Dollar Tree. The other
orange is a scrap. The background paper is clouds
from Joann's. The sandcastles are stickers from
Tuesday Morning. I colored the sand bucket using
Prismacolor Pencils and then fussy cut out 2 of them (
one of them being a mirror). Glued them together with
shiny twine I accumulated from somewhere.

Here is the actual easel card bottom.  The paper
is from a holiday of the year type paper pad and I
grabbed it at St. Vinnies (thrift store).  The sticker
I put on is from the same set of stickers as the sand-
castles on the front.

Here is the finished project.  I love how you can
twirl the sand bucket and then let it go.  It spins
back and forth so easily.  Hopefully the person
will be surprised when opening the envelope.

Well that's it for this months project.  Don't forget about visiting the sponsors above.  So get your stuff out and please join us for Summer Fun!

Stay Safe, Stay extra healthy and please know you are very blessed!
