The Crafter's Cafe Challenge Blog #280 Theme Use your favorites

Gosh time flies when you blink.  It keeps getting faster as I get older.  This is the last post for Crafter's Cafe until the new year.  Let's go out with a really fun challenge.  'Use your favorites'.  This could be tools, colors, material just something that is your favorite to use while crafting.  The sky's the limit~ First let's see who our sponsors are...

Prize~3 Images

Prize~$10 Voucher for Images Only

Now this is the way to ring out the year.  Great (and generous) sponsors.  Please go show some love everyone.

On to my creation.  I am using a image from Sheepski Designs called Emma's Hat.
My favorite thing to use is my favorite colors.  Green, Purple and Pink.  So here is what I came up with.

The first step was foiling this image with Purple.
Then I colored using PrismaColor Pencils.  Pretty
limited pallet.  Brown, Purple and Cream.  Next I
die cut some nesting shapes out of mirrored
card stock. Put this all together on Green card
with 4 mystic Purple gems.  I also used lavender
gems on the hat band.

The inside has rounded corner rectangles.  Both
of these glitter sheets I got at the Dollar Store
and they are self-adhesive.

The back with my label.

That's it!  2021 is complete.  Next year 2022, The Crafters Cafe Challenge Blog will be monthly.  So the next challenge will start on January 15, 2022.  Thank you all for the wonderful comments.  So until next year...

Hello everyone and welcome to the new challenge over at Crafty Gals Corner. Since it is now December, our theme for this challenge is Merry and Bright.  So that could be sparkles, Christmas or the other jillion holidays this time of year.  Get creative gang!  But first let's see who our sponsors are.

Prize~3 Digital Images

Prize~$10 Gift Certificate
Fred She Said Designs offers a wide variety of digital products with a floral flair and cute characters too - Digi's, Pre-colored images, Papers, Sets, Fred's Flower Kits, and even digital cutting files.  Have some fun with Fred!

Such a duo of fabulous sponsors. Thank you so much for all you do for the various challenges on the world wide web. It is greatly appreciated!

For my project this challenge, I have used an image from Fred She Said titled Winter Emma & The Chickadee. Here is the completed project.

Isn't she adorable. Pretty as a picture. I knew
with Christmas being so busy, a pre-colored
image would be perfect for this challenge.
Green cardstock, sparkle card stock cut with
a stitched die &a variegated green card
with brads of holly and a single berry.
I printed and die cut Emma twice.
Once very close and the next with a stitched
die. I have layered Emma and the Chickadee
to add dimension to the card.

Here you can see the dimension.

I used my favorite Merry Christmas stamp and
have embossed it with Crafters Companion
Gold embossing powder.

And finally the back with my sticker!

I just want to say how much I appreciate all my followers!  Thank you for another year of looking at my projects and putting up with my off center humor.

Merry Christmas my friend and a very Happy New Year!!!

The Crafters Cafe Challenge #279

Hello everyone and let me be the first to wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy Holiday season!  Before I can decorate, I am finally getting my carpets cleaned.  It's been about 4 years and I can just imagine what color the water will be.  UGH!  But that is on December 9th.  First let's get this challenge started.  Here are the sponsors.

All Dressed Up Digital Stamps
Prize~2 Digital images

My Besties Shop
Prize~3 Digital Images

What wonderful sponsors to kick off the holiday card making season.  They are both wonderful designers and have the nicest images.  Thank you for your generosity! Please go show each of them some love!

Now on to my creation.  I have created a birthday card for a very dear friend.  Her name is Ricki.  We have been friends since 7th grade.  Let's just say it's more than 40 years.  When we were just graduated, Toni Basil recorded a song entitled 'Oh ricky you're so fine'.  I thought it would be appropriate for her birthday.  (She will get back at me somehow)  So here is my creation using My Besties Digital Image called Phoenix Urban.

Here she is!  I've always loved pink and gray
together.  I colored her using Prismacolor and
Arteza colored pencils.  The background is from
scraps I keep in my filing cabinet.  The tag is
another bit in my embellishments folders (who
knows where I get all the supplies).

Here is a close up.

I used Pebbles chalk for her cheeks and I printed
her on a file folder.

The inside.  Birthday die is from KSCrafts.

I sure do hope that you all have a wonderful holiday season.  I also hope that Santa brings me a new computer.  I am then going to throw BLOGGER so far away it will never be found.

Stay Safe, Stay Healthy and know that you are blessed!

The Crafters Cafe Challenge #278 'MALE'

Hello everyone!  Welcome back to my blog.  This challenge is all about male themed cards.  I have a horrible time coming up with male cards.  I am all over the pretty cards with flowers and sparkles.  Male cards....well not so much.  So here is what I have created.  But first, Let's take a look at who our sponsors are.

Beccy's Place

How great!  Beccy's Place is a gem among digital stamps.  I love using her images.  They are crisp and clean and a joy to color.  Go show some love gang.

Now on to my creation.  I am using a Beccy's Place image called Mason Jar of Tools.  It's an image from Blooming Tools Digital Stamps.  Here is my card for a male.
Our employee Mike has a birthday this Thursday.
What better reason to create a male birthday card
and a pan of my cinnamon rolls!

I colored the mason jar of tools with my Prisma-
colored pencils.  I paper pieced the handles of the
big screwdrivers with wood grained paper scraps.
The gold frames and brads are Anna Griffin. I
used rub-on letters on the self adhesive cork I
got at Dollar Tree.  The ribbon I found at a thrift
store.  The background card is American Crafts.
The dotted brown paper is from a DCVW book
from 2013.

Just a closer look!

The inside background is a piece of linen paper
from K&Co. from many years ago.  The big letters
are fabric and puffy with sticky on the back.
The happy birthday is a die from Amazon.

Just another closer look!

Here is the beauty shot.

So that's it for this challenge.  I will enter my card into a couple of challenges as soon as I figure out which ones.  Now I will not be posting again until after Thanksgiving in the USA.  So to my friends in the states Happy Thanksgiving!

Be safe, stay healthy and know you are very blessed!

Polkadoodles

Such a fantastic sponsor!  I do have to admit, I am very very fond of their images.  Go show some love everyone!

I am using a very cute and fun image called Gnometastic Birthday Gift.  I have recently learned a new type of card and I just love it.  If you want the details please send me an email.

Here we go.

Isn't this fun!!!  Papers are all scraps from other
projects.  The gnome is colored with Prismacolor
pencils.  I paper pieced the gift put square foam
underneath for some dimension

Here is a close-up of the Gnome.  I really
like the ombre shirt and the pompom on top
of the gift.

Above is the inside of my creation.

I do not know what is up with blogger.  I can't add pictures exactly where I want and then they all group together.  I think that I will just say this blog post is finished.  See you next time.

Crafty Gals Corner Challenge # 224 'Halloween Colors'

It's that time again.  Welcome to the latest challenge for Crafty Gals Corner.  This months challenge theme is 'Halloween Colors'.  I love this time of year.  My daughters birthday was last week.  We went out to lunch at a seafood restaurant specializing in clam chowder.  Looked around the wharf and came home.  Had a wonderful time.  BUT...I forgot to take a pic of her card I made.  I'll get her to take one for me.  Oh well on to the challenge.  Here are the sponsors (in alphabetical order)

Colour of Love
Prize~3 Digital Images

Crafty Sentiments Designs
Prize~3 Digital Images

Stampers Delights
Prize~3 Single Images

Like i said, I love this time of year!  The stamp designers have displayed the newest, latest and greatest designs for the holiday season.  These 3 sponsors are such a delight to work with.  Please, go show each of them some love.

So since October is my daughters birthday month, I have always decorated for Halloween early.  I am always looking for images to use.  So when I saw the image by Colour of Love's called Dulcinea Sugar Skulls I had to have it!  So here is what I did with this fantastic image.

I colored the image using my Prismacolor Pencils.
I had my Silver Bullet cutter do a PNC. The orange
paper is Paper Wishes and is called Fiesta.  The
actual card is Graphic 45 Bohemian Bazaar.  Ribbon
and orange strip are scraps.

Here is the inside.  Graphic 45 paper is almost
always double sided.  This green is the inside of
that paper.  (cool huh!) Here is also a better look
at the Fiesta Paper.  I love how cheerful it is!

Here is the back but this is a good picture of the
actual card outside.  Love all the colors.

Well that is my project for the Halloween Colors Challenge.  Day of the Dead celebrations never looked so good!  Next month is Thanksgiving in the USA.  So
be ready to be thankful.

Be Safe, Be Healthy and know you are blessed!
