Crafty Gals Corner Challenge #204 Add a heart

It's almost Valentines Day.  Over at Crafty Gals Corner Challenge for February 2020 we would like to see hearts.  So add a heart or make sure to enter a card that has a heart(s) already on it.  Just remember your project CAN NOT be one made/posted before our challenge goes live on February 12 at 6:00 am est.

Let's start by seeing who our incredible sponsors are for this challenge:

Prize~3 Single Digital Images

OK, I don't know about you but I am incredibly impressed with this months sponsors.  The sponsors don't have to do this.  Challenges could have you use an image you already own.  But how do you get those images in the first place?  You could purchase them.  Or you can enter and win a wonderful prize in our challenge.  So go give them some love my crafties.

This month I am so pleased to announce that my image is from Frbrika Fantasy called Fabulous Fishes.  I have taken a lot of pics so the page might load rather slowly.  Here we go!

Here are all the pieces.  I printed out the Fabulous Fishes image
to the correct size.  I am making a 6x6 card.

The two pics above show some special paper I have had for ages.
It is made byThe Paper Company and it is called Black Raindrops.
The raindrops are black sticky plastic.  I only have a few sheets left.

This is another paper by the Paper Company called Blue Ice.
I am going to make a frame for the fishies.

I have marked off 1/8 inch on all sides of the fishes.  This is where
I will put down the sticky tape.

Adding sticky tape that is 1/8 inch wide.

Got the frame done and now to mitre the corners.

Here is the final inside of my 6x6 card.

Here is the front.  I think that this turned out so cute.
Not at all what I had in mind to begin with.  Remember
the rhyme that goes 2 little monkey sitting in
a tree, k.i.s.s.i.n.g.?  Well I modified it a little.
I just hope 'the Bob' likes it.

Thank you so much for visiting this month.  I hope that you visit the rest of the design team for more ideas.  Until March,

Bright blessings,

Southern Girls Challenge

Hello and welcome!  Time for another challenge over at Southern Girls.  All the challenges are anything goes.  So post a new project and join the challenge.  And, if you live in AUS or NZ, you will be entered into a special prize drawing (make sure you label your entry for Country).  You can enter 2 new projects each challenge.  So here we go!

Let's start with introducing our sponsors.

For this challenge I am working with an image from Colour of Love called Steampunk Wix Moon.  This was a very creative project for me.  I kinda knew what I wanted to create but getting there sometimes throws a curveball.  I have a list of every single Prismacolor and Arteza pencils used if you would like a copy just ask.

Here is what I came up with.

I think that she came together quite nicely.  The words of
course are from Disney's Cinderella c1950.  Saturn is a
foam stamp and the paper came fromDCVW
and is called the Stardust Stack 2013.

This is the inside.  I used a very old happy birthday stamp and
Silver WOW Embossing Powder.

This is the back.  For 2020 I made new stickers that tell
 how you can contact me.

All in all I am pleased with the end result.  Nothing like I wanted but very nice indeed.  Thank you for stopping by.  Be back in a couple of weeks with another Team Trace Southern Girls Challenge.

Bright Blessings,

Crafty Gals Challenge #203 Winter Fun

Hello hello hello!!!  It's our first challenge for the new year 2020.  I was so hoping that on New Years Eve on TV somewhere would be Barbara Walters.  "This is Barbara Walters and this is 20/20".  That would have been fabulous!!!

So for Challenge #203, the theme is Winter Fun.  Our Sponsor for this challenge is...

Prize~3 Digital Stamps

I just LOVE The Paper Shelter.  With any package you choose, there are always extras.  Please everyone, please go share some love.  If not for sponsors, there would be NO challenges.

Now I have two projects to share with you.  Here is the first one.

This image is called Penguin Friends.  I colored the image using
Prismacolors and my new Arteza colored pencils.  I am really
liking how the Arteza lay down and blend.

I reversed the image and then colored.  I did a Print-and-cut using my
KNK Zing and Make The Cut software.  The sentiment was
stamped using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

This is the new 2020 sticker that I put on the back of each of my projects.

Now for project #2...

This is a birthday card for a dear friend that lives in New
Brunswick, Canada.  Mt. Poley is a ski resort.  Shred'in
in the pow is snow boarder language meaning really, really good
skiing in the powder at Mt. Poley.

The inside.  Love the colors of this card. I must admit that I did not color
the snow boarder or the background.  The Paper Shelter is an amazing
company and provided colored images and backgrounds.  Just cut out
and go!

Another new 2020 sticker.

That's it for this Challenge.  I hope that you have a wonderful January.  I will be back in February with another project.

Bright Blessings,
