Crafters Cafe Challenge #314 'Monochrome'

Well this is a first for me.  Monochrome.  It can be leaving one part of an image uncolored or just using one color and using different tones and shades.  I decided to pick the color green.  Boy howdy!!!  Do you know how many hues of green there are in the world?  I think I used most of them.  Here are this challenge sponsors.

Prize~~2 Digital images

Prize~~$10 Voucher

Fred She Said Designs offers a wide variety of digital products with a floral flair and cute characters too - Digi's, Pre-coloured images, Papers, Sets, Fred's Flower Kits, and even digital cutting files.  Have some fun with Fred!

I have to say that these two sponsors are in my top 10 to work with.  When I want to pick an image to use for design team and the challenge sponsors are these companies, well I have a really hard time choosing.  Please go show some love and give a thank you to each of them.

The image that I created from is a Dr. Digi's House of Stamps and is titled Trixie the Triceratops.  Here is what I came up with.

Have you ever seen so many colors of green?  I actually did
color this with Prisma Colored Pencils, Arteza Pencils, Castle
Arts Oil Based Pencils and finally some fineliners.  The base
is a bright christmas Recollections green.  I colored this image
on a special colored pencil paper (I won't be ordering it again).
The sentiment came to me even before I got the image.  Just a
lucky break.  Envelope is Olive Green Recollections.

Crafty Gals Corner Challenge #261 - Anything Goes w/optional twist - Use 3+ Layers

I don't know about you but the minute Halloween was over the decorations came down.  I so wanted to put up Christmas but decided it would be more special if I waited.  So I put some things up for Thanksgiving.  Christmas will be here soon enough.  Here are the sponsors.

Prize:  2 digis, 1 pad of digital papers "mini"
and the possibility of being Special Guest DT

Prize ~ 3 Digital Images

Mirtillamente Craft Shop is becoming one of my favorite stores to design with.  Sheepski Design is in the top 5 on my favorite companies.  Please go show some love and please leave a nice thank you.

I am designing and showing off Mirtillamente Craft Shops image called Le Pine Mrs. Peter Xmas No. 2.  Here we go!

Isn't this a fun image?  When I first saw it I
knew that I had to color it.  I used all alcohol
markers on this image.  I needed them to be
bright and cheerful.  Christmas does not have
to be just red, green and gold.  Why not hot pink
and neon orange?  The base is AC Cardstock
followed by a layer of bright green card and
finally a piece of paper from a big DCWV book
from 2012.  I printed the Merry Christmas
on vellum and used spray adhesive to put it
on the card.

Crafters Cafe Challenge #313 'Fantasy'.

Hello everyone!  Short and sweet post for this challenge.  Here is our sponsor.

SheepskiDesigns

Prize~~3 Images

What a wonderful sponsor.  She has a fantasy section that you should explore.  Go have a look and then leave a little love and thanks.

My image is called Conversation.  Here is what I created.  (love working with the image)

I have colored the image with my prismacolor pencils.  Next
I used silver glitter to outline the moon.  Years ago I purchased
a DCWV paper pad that has nighttime images of the universe.
I used dark purple card as a base and found a star system with
purple as the background paper.  The Listen is printed and then
die cut with a Sizzix Nestabilities set.

This is a saying that I use quite frequently.

The back.

Well that's it for October.  I will see you back in November for the last challenge in the year.  Thank you so much for stopping by.  From my heart to yours,

Stay Safe, Stay Healthy and know you are blessed!

Crafty Gals Corner Challenge #260 - Anything Goes w/optional Twist - Make it Spooky!

Hello everyone!  Can you believe that it is October?  It comes so fast.  I start thinking about October in July.  My daughters birthday is this month and I try to make her something handmade.  This year I got behind and so the purse I am making will be late.  She says it does not matter when.  She's a sweetheart!

On the the challenge.  Yes it's anything goes but the twist is to make it spooky!  Here are our sponsors.

Prize~~3 digital stamps

WOW!!!  These are two of the big sponsors.  They are gracious.  The images often times have extras for the design teams to use.  Please go and show some love and leave a thank you!  On to my creation.

I have used the The Paper Shelter image titled "Adorable Halloween Witch.  Here is my creation.

What a fun image to color.  I have colored my little witch with
my Prismacolor Pencils.  Next I decided to make a card using
Graphic 45 collections called Steampunk Spells, Bohemian
Bazaar and Steampunk Debutante.  I must tell you that all of
these collections are retired.  I bought them when Tuesday
Morning was around.  I used Bohemian Bazaar for the actual
card base.  Then I cut different elements from different
collections.

Here is the inside.  On the left, these are pockets that I will
put little notes on.

These are more elements from the collections.

This is the back.

This is the inside and outside of the envelope.

I hope you have enjoyed this design.  I had a lot of fun creating it.

So for now, Stay Safe, Stay Healthy and know you are blessed!  Please send prayers to everyone in the path of Hurricane Milton!

Crafter's Cafe Challenge #312 Theme is Animals

Do you lose your mojo sometimes?  I certainly do when it comes to paper crafting.  But sometimes an idea just springs to life very quickly.  That is what happened in the challenge.  Here is the sponsor.

Beccy has both digital and clear stamps in her store. Check out both her store for delightful images and also her blog, she has a monthly challenge and a great freebie page.

beccysplace.blogspot.com

Here is what I have designed using the image from Beccy's Place titled Flockstar.

This was way to much fun to create.  The base is bright pink
with an orange rectangle.  The I have used scraps for the back-
ground and the sand.  I colored the flamingo in a very light pink
with fushia highlights.  Orange and yellow for the beak.
Next I cut from a very old Sizzix die the crown.

The inside has another crown and the saying is one of my
favorites from Mary Englebreit.

The back.

Well that's it for this months challenge brought to you by Crafters Cafe.  I hope you can play along.

A note from Rachelle Anne Miller:
I am an artist & designer living in the beautiful Adelaide Hills in South Australia with my husband and three amazing children! I love to create and am especially drawn to all things cute. I've worked on children's books, greeting cards, craft supplies, children's room décor, tech accessories, and more. I love to bring out joy and imagination in my art and create something a little different to inspire and make you smile.

These two sponsors are fabulous.  They provide design teams with great images to use.  But then again they get the promotion of their companies.  Win-Win!  Please go show some love and please leave a thank you!

My image for this challenge is by Last Minute Manda and is called Fall Gnomes.
Here we go gang!

Started with bright blue card stock as a base.  Using my grass
dies I made the setting for the Pumpkin and Gnome Garden.
The pumpkin is colored with, alcohol markers, colored pencils
and I paper pieced the pumpkin house ground.  I did the sme with
Mr. Gnome in his garden.  The Hello Autumn is a die cut using
bronze mirrored paper.

The blue sky paper is a scrap.  I used another scrap of yellow
to print the saying on.  The little leaves are little ones left over
from the Pumpkin house.

The Back

That's it for this month.  I will be back with another creation in October!  So for now...
Stay safe, Stay Healthy and know you are blessed.

Crafters Cafe Challenge #311 Any thing goes with a twist of Rainbows and/or Bright Colors.

Hey everyone!  I am sitting in my craft room.  No sounds in the house.  Got my DH into bed.  All of a sudden a big crack of thunder and the rain comes pouring down.  I run outside and twirl in the grass.  Gosh darn, I love a good summer rain shower.  We sure needed it.  I love this because it will put a damper on all the pollen that is around and causing many Oregonians to sneeze and have the sniffles.  Thank goodness.  For challenge # 311 we have 2 sponsors.  Here they are!

I love working with Dr. Digi's House of Stamps.   The images are many and your can select whatever you are dreaming of.  For the past 6 years I have used an image from Dr. Digi's for my hubbies birthday card.  He always gets a kick out of it!  Go and please leave some love and a thank you.  The sponsors really do appreciate it.

Just a quick update on the challenge rules.  Our challenges are now anything goes with a twist.  Also there is no longer a limit of entries.  Enter all you would like.

For challenge #311 I have used an image from Dr. Digi House of Stamps.  He is named Scuba Scott!  Considering my hubby is certified as a Master Driver I thought he would appreciate this card.  Here we go!

The base it a deep sky blue from Recollections.  The image is
matted on white scrap.  The underwater scene was created by
me and my oil based Castle Arts Gold Colored Pencils were used.
They blend like a dream.  The circles are a die that I purchased
from Amazon.  I added a starfish sticker.  The scuba diver is
 colored using my Prismacolor Pencils.

The paper I used is from a K&Co. big book that I have had
forever.  I will write a note inside when his birthday is almost
here.

I have gave my hubby the card and it is proudly displayed on the top of his desk.

That it for this challenge.  So until next time...
Stay safe, stay healthy and know you are blessed!

Challenge #258 Anything goes with option of using a embossing folder

Hello everyone!  How's your summer going?  Being a full-fledged Oregonian, I can NOT wait until it starts raining and it's gloomy.  That is why I am so into Halloween and All Saints day.  Can I tell you a secret?  I have had Halloween decorations up since the second week of July.  Love my purple lights and black garland.  I will post a pic when I get all my decorations up.  On to the challenge.  Here are the sponsors.

Two of my favorite sponsors to work for and I love the images they share with us on the Design Team for Crafty Gals Corner Challenge.  Please go share some love and maybe leave a thank you.  They deserve it!

This challenge I am working with an image from The Paper Shelter.  Here is the link to the images.  Dipping A Toe.  Fun and fantastic image to work with.  Here is what I finally came up with.  (surprizes me sometimes).

I have colored the image with every single type of colored
pencil, markers and I think there might be some pastel chalk
in there also.  I did a print and cut on the actual figure.  Paper
pieced the sand.  Found two seashell stickers.  The I found
a film cell svg pattern.  Cut that with my 24" Silver bullet
cutter.  I had the darnedest time finding a shut board.  But I
did.  If you read it, it says 'dipping a toe'.

Inside left is decorated with cut outs from Graphic 45 set called
'On The Boardwalk'.

This paper is from a K & Co. big book (that I have had
forever)

The back.  Logo and inital.

Well that is what I came up with for August 2024 Crafty Gals Challenge #258.  When this composition was complete I was surprised.  I certainly hope that you can come and play along for some amazing prizes.

So from my heart to yours,

Stay Healthy, Stay Safe and know you are blessed!!!
