Last Birthday Cards for May!

Whew!  That was a crunch of crafting.  May is a very card heavy month.  Bam, bam, and a final bam.  Hi everyone!  It's Saturday and I have the last of the birthday cards to share with you today.  I have used the incredible ScrappyDew file called Garden Girl 2015.  But first the lyrics...

~ScrappyDew Garden Girl 2015
~Recollections scraps
~Silver Bullet 24" Pro
~Sure Cuts A Lot v4.044
~Recollections Sparkles paper
~Card base Canvas Corp. Choc. & Kraft mini dot
~Happy birthday stamp by Inkadinkdo
~AlmaLynne (Inkadinkado) Flower Pot and Watering Can stamps
~Envelope & Gypsies Spitafields

I have used this image for May birthdays quite a lot.  Very easy to put together.  I used as an embellishment seed packets that I have received in the mail.  Probably to old to sprout.
So this is what I dreamed up.

A card for Dolores!

A card for Auntie Kathy!

Even got in a little bit of coloring!

I've taken to decorating the envelopes also.

Both together!

The card base is the flower pot she has in her hand but really blown up.  Duplicate it and weld and you have a very unusual card base.  These two cards went over fantastic.  I guess that is why I keep coming back to the Garden Girl 2015 file!!!

Now I have a graduation card for the gal across the street for my next post in 2 weeks.  Are you all gardening?  That is what is taking my time and energy.  Instant gratification!!!

Bright Blessings, Jana

Welcome Little One!

I've lived in this neighborhood for just over 14 years.  I have seen the youngest children now graduating from high school, and some neighbors have passed on.  But new blood and life is percolating in this small universe.  We have my little neighbor boys that I spoil.  Now a new little one has made her presence know.

Welcome to my Saturday Post for the wonderful ScrappyDew Digital Cutting Files.  A new baby card is always fun to make.  But I finally got to use pinks for this little girl.  She took her time getting here.  But first the lyrics...

~ScrappyDew Digital cut file "Baby Girl Crawling"
~Scrap Factory hair "johnny"
~CTMH Baby girl kit (1990's)
~TPC Sweet Beginnings Stickers
~DejaViews My Sweet Girl printed vellum
~Penny Duncan Creations leaf branch
~Small white flower stock from $1 store
~Mark Richards Baby Rattle Sticker
~Silver Bullet 24" Pro cutter
~SCAL V4.044
~didn't use the kitchen sink this time around

I have to admit, if I was doing another card like this, I would make the baby smaller.  It just looks to big for the card base.  Otherwise, didn't have a bit of trouble putting this one together.  So here she is...

See What I mean about proportion...

The inside

The back

Envelope

She really enjoyed it.  Miss Zoey finally arrived May 12, 2016.  She was a week late.  Mom and baby are great.

So that's it for this week.  See you on May 28, 2016.  Bright blessings, Jana

Fun with chalk

Hello everyone!  How is everyone?  Did you get some warm weather yet?  Here in Oregon this weekend, we are expecting warm weather Sunday and Monday.  Perfect weather to play with sidewalk chalk.  I have a little boys birthday card to share as my design team post for ScrappyDew Digital cutting files.  But of course lyrics first...

~ ScrappyDew digital file "Chalk The Walk"
~ScrappyDew Vault "Mouse Memories 2014" (gift tag)
~Silver Bullet 24" electronic die cutting machine
~Sure Cuts A Lot Software V4.044
~Who knows what brand of scrap paper
~Blue Raspbery Strips by Deja Views
~Miscellaneous tools
~My NEW We Are Memory Keepers Envelope board from Mary

For this card I used the center step card pattern provided by by Frances Byrns over at Splitcoast Stampers.  Gang, if you haven't visited SCS you are missing out on great tutorials and examples and so much more.  Go check it out.

So the Chalk the Walk file from ScrappyDew was a wonderful pick for the center step card format.  Very straight forward and left tons of room for decorating.  I kept it simple on the outside.  For the inside I found some labels of chalk paper and wrote my note in my chalk.  The little boy had just returned from his 1ST trip to where the mouse lives on the west coast so I made him a mouse gift tag using the Mouse Memories 2014 ScrappyDew file.  Turned out so cute.  Here are all the bit and pieces put together.

The front of the card, just love the background paper!

Here is the label

Here is his birthday persent
All wrapped up and ready to go across the street.
Now when Chase opened it, he knew exactly what it was.  He even asked "Jana, you come draw with me".  He is so cute.  So yes, I will be playing with sidewalk chalk this summer with the Chase man.  (give mommy some rest, he is 3 after all)

Hope you have enjoyed this weeks post.  I have an exciting announcement over on the Facebook page on May 9th.  Please join me for some fun to celebrate my birthday!

Bright blessings, Jana
