Little suzy sunshine

Hi all!  It's Saturday and today I have a post about how to combine your great coloring pictures into card making.  It seems everyone is coloring to reduce the stress in your life.  Well I am proud to say that I never gave up coloring just because I wasn't a kid.  But in the last few years, there are so many more coloring books available that I am a very happy camper.  Hobby Lobby gets an awful lot of my money (w/a coupon of course).  I especially like the Creative Haven books.  So let me show you what I have created.  Lyrics please....

~Secret Garden Coloring Book by Johanna Basford "The Well"
~Dew Drop Stamps Facial Expressions #2

~Silver Bullet Pro 24" Electronic cutter
~Sure Cuts A Lot V4

First I colored the picture.  I used my Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers and my Prismacolor Colored Pencils.  Using both together gives you the ability to shade items very easy.  So here is the finished colored picture.  I used my Epson Workforce 3530 and reduced the size of the piece to fit a 6 x 6 card.

Look at the leaves and you can see what I mean about easy shading
So I cut around the image and this is the inside of the card.  But I wanted the inside to show to the outside.  So I used the flower image that comes with the Garden Girl file and enlarged it.  Made a border to go around it.  Then cut the flower on the outside of my card.  Glued down the border around the flower.  Then I put little suzy sunshine on the front of the card.  (I have never made a card like this, I think it's called an aperture card)

So here is the outside of the card

And this is the inside with a greeting written around the well.

This was a fun one to make.  I just hope that Gail likes it.  Now for next week, your guess is as good as mine.  I am knee deep in those 200 cards for the bazaar I keep talking about.  But I think it will be my daughters birthday card.  We shall see and be just as surprised as you will be.

Bright blessings for the coming week, Jana
