Crafty Gals Corner Challenge # 216 Add a Heart

Hello everyone!  It is time for another challenge over at Crafty Gals Corner Challenge.  This is challenge #216 and the theme is 'add a heart'.  This one is going to be a lot of fun!  Before I start, here are the fabulous sponsors.

Cute As A Button
Prize~2 Digital Images

Stampers Delights
Prize~3 Single Digital Images

These are two fabulous wonderful sponsors.  Please everyone go show some love.  Without sponsors there would not be as many challenges.  Go say thank you.

I have to tell a funny story.  Before deadline, I usually have my project finished.  But I wanted to treak my project just a little.  Left the project out on my crafting area.  We have a kitten that is almost 4.5 months old.  That Cat!!  He grabbed my project and proceeded to want to play tag.  Needless to say when I got it back there wasn't much left.

Here is the little innocent kitten!

So very quickly I put together another project and made deadline.  My image is from Cute As A Button Stamps.  This is Penguin Digi #00012.  (Now I couldn't get Cute As A Button's website to come up.  Maybe you will have better luck.)  So here is what I created.  I needed a tag for a Valentines Day goody.

Here is the Penguin Digi.  The gift is for my
daughter so I put a crown on Princess Penguin.
I colored the image using Prismacolor Pencils.
The paper is scraps from past Valentine's Day
projects. Ribbon from Joanns.

Can you see the decorations on the donut?  The
middle is a plastic heart sticker.  But can you guess
what the donut has on it?  Yes, those are candy
sprinkles.  The ones you use to decorate with in
the kitchen!

Just a better view.

This is the backside.

Here is the completed present.  The tag fits nicely.

This is the back side.

That is it for this month.  Please visit the sponsors websites/or their facebook pages.  Just spread the love around!  Just one more pic of the kitten who is still in mama's dog house!

Yes he loves to unroll the toilet paper off it's spool!

I wish you a very Happy Valentines/Galentines Day.  Brightest blessings, stay safe and be healthy!

Crafty Gals Corner Challenge #215 Snow Much Fun!

Hello and welcome to my blog.  If you have been a follower for any time, I have an announcement.  My eyes are healing extremely nicely.  Of course won't be totally healed for 6mos. to a year.  I had excellent surgeons and cataract surgery is done and over with.  So happy to be able to create again and actually see what I am creating!  Thank you for all the prayers (they worked).

Now on to challenge #215 'Snow Much Fun!'.  Let's see who our fabulous sponsor(s) are.

Prize~3 Digital Images

Prize~£8.00 Gift Certificate

If I can just take a moment, these 2 sponsors have been sponsoring not just our challenge but many many others.  I can tell you from working with both for many years they both are extremely generous.  PLEASE PLEASE go show each of them some love!

On to my project.  I have used an image from Twinkle Lane Designs called Penguin Snowglobe and a digital paper pack called Falling Snow.  I had such great plans for this image and the beautiful papers.  Then my eyes decided to want some time to rest.  So please excuse me if my card is not up to snuff.  Here it is...

Here is the envelope.  It is embossed
American Crafts and very heavy.

TaDa!!!  It's not what I had planned but I do believe
that it turned out really nice.  I paper pieced the
snow globe, the base and the snowman with
the penguins.  I used very tiny buttons instead of
black marker for coal. Aren't those little stars with
the fake snow great!  Love the sparkle!

So inside left.  I have to give credit to Twinkle
Lane Designs.  Their digital papers are beautiful.

All of the accent tags are from Crafters Companions
Contemporary Christmas Kit which I found at
Tuesday Morning last year.

Here is the completed inside.

The back of the card.

Here is the glamour shot!

I hope I have inspired you to make your own card for challenge #215 Snow Much Fun!  If you do, please post over at Crafty Gals Corner Challenges.  We would love to have you play along.

That's it for the month.  Next month is February and I bet you anything that the theme will be Valentines Day.  So for now I must say,

Bright Blessings
Stay happy, healthy and safe.

Crafty Gals #214 'Tis The Season'

Well this is a first.  I thought I had written and published my blog post.  Well I can't find it anywhere.  It's that darned Elf on the shelf.  He did it.  Well anyway here is a new and improved post for challenge #214.  Theme is 'Tis the season'.  Before I show off my card, let me introduce our sponsor(s) for this challenge.

The Paper Shelter
Prize~3 Digital Stamps
Prize~Paper Pack and Image Pack
used by Crafty Gals Design Team

These sponsors are the greatest!  They allow the dt to select images and then we get to create an project showcasing their image.  Everyone please go show some love.

Now for my card.  I have used 'My Christmas Snowball' Digital stamp and digital paper pack. You can use the image colored or not.  I chose to use the colored one and embellish with some embossing.  So here it is!

Here is the front.  I have used some light blue ribbon
for the corners.  Next I used some gold embossing
powder to accent the frame.

This is the inside.  I will write a message when I
send the card out.

I decorated the envelope with a small Christmas
tree stamp.

The reason that I used the printed image is two fold.  One it was fast.  Two I couldn't see very well yet.  My eyes are healing very nicely.  So January 2021 watch out.  I will be coloring up a storm.

That is it for this post.  I am wishing you a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Brightest Blessings,
