Crafters Cafe is also teaming up with Double Trouble Challenge # 164.
And guess what, the theme is Clean and Simple.  Have a go at this challenge.

These are three fabulous sponsors.  Generous to a fault and images to suit any situation.  Big Thank You's are in order.  Go leave a couple and show some love please.

On to my project.  C.A.S. cards are really hard for me.  I want to put glitter or some other embellishment on it.  You know, Dress It Up!  So I am designing with a set of images from Fred She Said called Doodled Flower Corners.  Here is my example.

The fold for this card is from Mixed Up Crafts and called
Pop-Up Diamond Fold Card.  Thank you Sam Calcott.  I
colored the flowers using my oil based Castle Arts Gold
pencils.  It was actually printed out in SCAL as a PNC.  I added
the inserted sentiment.  I used a lite lavender, white and a darker
violet for the actual card.  I embossed the side corners with a
embossing folder that is older than dirt.

The back of the diamond area is where you can sign this
type of card.  I embossed with a stamp from Stampendous
The feline collection from 2001.

I hope that you have enjoyed looking at my inspiration for this months challenge.  Remember it is themed C.A.S.  Hope to see you again soon.  So from my heart to yours,

A note from Rachelle Anne Miller:

I am an artist & designer living in the beautiful Adelaide Hills in South Australia with my husband and three amazing children! I love to create and am especially drawn to all things cute. I've worked on children's books, greeting cards, craft supplies, children's room decor, tech accessories, and more. I love to bring out joy and imagination in my art and create something a little different to inspire and make you smile.

What wonderful sponsors.  Love working with their images.  Very clean and a lot of variety.  Go give them some love and please leave a thank you!!

On to my project.  I am using an image from Colour of Love called Rory's Orchids.  Now this is a monthly cover for my planner.  I make a new monthly cover each month.  Sometimes it is just a picture from one of my many colouring books.  But this month I needed a project and this cover was born.  Here is an example.

This is my actual plastic cover for my planner

Here is a month cover for March 2024 from one
of my colouring books.

Here is Rory's Orchids cover for April 2024.

I have used my Castle Arts Oil based pencils, Shuttle Art Alcohol Markers, Pastel Chalk, paper
from Tuesday Morning's craft isle.  I backed Rory with a black and used spray adhesive to
attach it to the DP.  I have a special Happy Planner mushroom hole punch that I used after the
washi tape was used on the edge.

Please click on the pic to see more details.

This is the actual calendar.  I made clouds.

Well that is it for this month.  Next month is the start of the anything goes challenges.  Like I said I will let all of you know how the 'twist' will work.  I do hope that you had a very nice Easter weekend.  So from my heart to yours,

Stay Healthy, Stay Safe and know you are blessed!

Crafters Cafe Challenge #306 Theme: FOOD

Yeppers!  That is right.  Dig out the digi or real stamps and show us your food.  Donuts, cakes or maybe spaghetti.  Get creative gang.  Here is our sponsor.

I have been coloring and creating with Beccy's Place Digital Stamps for many moons now.  I love how intricate her images are.  Please go show some love and give her a big thank you for being a sponsor.

Since the theme for this challenge is food I chose the Make-A-Wish Digital Stamps.   The image I chose was the tall birthday cake.  Here is my project.

This was an experiment.  I had a couple books of different
colored Burlap that is paper backed.  Always wanted to make
a Burlap Card.  I picked a lime green sheet and folded it
in half.  I used a scalloped oval dies and a solid edge oval die
and cut the front pieces.  I colored the cake with my Castle
Arts Alcohol Markers.  Then I used gems and green markers to
finish the cake.  I used spray adhesive to glue down the
ovals.

I cut another scalloped oval and flipped the paper from the
front over to cut the smaller oval.

Here is what the inside caption says.

Now for my results.  Would I make another card from burlap?  NO. Would I use Burlap as an element on a card?  Yes.  Using Burlap as a card base just didn't work.  I tried to fold it in half and it would not stay folded.  So I got out the modge podge and slapped it on.  Folded, anchored it will bulldog clips and let it dry over night.  (could hardly get it apart in the morning).  Then while trying to glue the elements on the burlap it just didn't work.  Or it worked and fell off over night.   UUUGGGGHHHHH!  Oh one other complaint.  Back in the late 70's, I made a lot of macrame plant hangers.  The burlap had the same effect.  Sneezing and snorting with a lovely cough.  Not again.

Thanks so much for visiting my little corner of the world.  From my heart to yours,

Stay Safe, Stay Healthy and know you are blessed!

Happy Blessed Easter
