Crafty Gals Corner Challenge # 165 Add a flower

This post is going to be short and sweet.  This is my birthday week besides having other deadlines to make.  So my post is late.  I greatly appologize to my followers and the other design team members.  This challenge is add a flower.  The image I have used does have a flower but I also put flowered paper on the inside of the card.

But first let me show you who our sponsor for this week is.

Our sponsor has an amazing site.  So many beautiful images to select from.  Go on over and have a look.  Don't forget to leave some love!

My image is called "Ashley Faery Ball Dress".  Such a fun image to color with my prismacolors.  So here she is...
The front.  Thank you my friends.

See the inside has flowers.

It was time to change the image in my made by
Jana Stamp.
Well what do you think?  I think is came out rather nicely.  To all the mothers out there, Happy Mothers Day!

Bright blessings, Jana

What an impressive group of sponsors.  Gang, make sure that you show some love.  We wouldn't be having any challenges without our sponsors!  Thanks Sponsors!

My creation this fortnight is from Polksdoodles and called Jump for Joy!  This digital image was a joy to get creative with.  Time for another photo essay...

Here is Winnie Jumping for joy!

Front and the pennants are not tacked down.
Just hanging on some hemp string.

#162 Anything Goes

Hi everyone!  This fortnights challenge is going to be fabulous.  We have 3 sponsors for the challenge.  Lets see who they are.  Remember gang, go give the sponsors some love.  If we didn't have the sponsors, life would be pretty dull.  So here they are for challenge #162.

Prize:  $20 Gift Certificate

Prize:  1 digital image

Prize ~ 1 of 5 sets offered by the sponsor

Are you interested in digital sentiments, papers and other embellishments? How about a badge made especially for your blog? If these are items you are interested in, you are going to want to check out D├ęcosse's Dynamite Doodles. My name is Lisa and with over 200+ posts of freebies to choose from, and new ones added often, I just might have what you are looking for. Along with the freebies I offer, I also create blog badges, watermarks and digital Scrapbooking Kits. I also sponsor a number of challenge blogs throughout the year and it is my absolute pleasure to have the opportunity to sponsor the Crafty Gals Corner Challenge Blog!
If you have the time, I'd love for you to pop by and visit me. There is always inspiration to be found among my many different features. Come and take a look--I hope you have a blast!

Can't tell you how excited I am for Crafty Gals.  A new to us sponsor.  Can't wait for you to see what Lisa has available.  Give her some love and take a look around.

Now on to my project.  I have used an image provided by Paper Nest Dolls.  She is a beautiful Mermaid with Sea Turtle.  What a great image.  So many ways to play with this digi.

So here is my inspiration for our new challenge.

Isn't she adorable.  She was such fun to color with my Prismacolor pencils.  Adding the holographic blue background sure livened the card up.  The base of the card is from K & Co. stack.  I think it's called under the sea.    The base is double sided so let's look at the inside.

What an amazing inside.  Cut some of the lighthouse off but you can still recognize the structure.

Well that is it for this new challenge.  Hope you can create something and come join us.  Happy Easter and bright blessings, Jana

Challenge #161 "Make it green".

It's time for another episode of Rhapsody on Paper featuring Crafty Gals Corner Challenges.   This challenge is always anything goes but has another ingredient, make it green for St. Patricks Day on Saturday March 17, 2018.

Crafty Gals Design Team are using fabulous images from our sponsor The Paper Shelter.

Prize:  $15 Gift Certificate

The Paper Shelter is amazing.  The digi's are very well done and the variety of images can't be beat.  Head on over to The Paper Shelter and please take a look around.  There is something for everyone!

My image for this week is called So Ready For Spring.  I am in love with this image.  On to what I have created for Make it green!

Here are all the items for my shaker card.  See the cardboard strips?
I will glue 4 together to raise the top of the card for the filling.
I have used a overhead projector sheet of clear plastic to
hold those little shamrocks in the shaker.
**Overhead projector sheets
can be found for cheap at thrift stores**

Here are the risers all glued together.

The shaker contents

The top of the shaker card.  Can you see the plastic?

Measuring for length of cardboard risers

Double sided tape is a wonderful invention

So here is the shaker

The finished card

The window of the shaker is the exact same
as the window of the card.

My shaker completed!

That's it for this week.  If you have any questions feel free to contact me.  Coming up in two weeks is a little taste of summer.  Have a wonderful St. Patricks Day!  Bright blessings, Jana

Challenge #160 'Anything Goes'

Last week I was feeling a little bit out of sorts about my blog writing.  I haven't been giving either blog enough attention.  So hopefully this blog edition will be a little bit clearer.  But first, lets take a look and see who is sponsoring our challenge this fortnight.

Prize:  2 Digital Stamps & 2 Digital Paper Packs

Prize:  1 Digital Image

Prize:  1 Image used by the fabulous design team

The sponsors for this 2 week period are new to me.  I am using Twinkle Lane Designs for my project.  The image is called Ice Skater Digi and Snowflake Swirl Paper Pack.  I have colored the Ice Skater image and printed one of the snowflake backgrounds.  I had to jazz the snowflakes up a bit.  So you know me, time for some sparkles in the form of Dollar Tree stick on rhinestones.  Let me show you...

Can you see the rhinestones?

I also drug out my Stickles in various colors.  Stickles are small bottles of glitter glue.  I put stickles
on the ice skating pond.  I colored the pond first with Grey and Putty Prismacolor Pencils.

This is the inside.  I thought using the same paper for the entire project
would be a good idea.

I printed out another sheet of the beautiful snow flake digital paper and
made a delightful envelope to match.
Here is the back of the card.  I think that it is time for a new image for
the back.  Maybe something spring~ish?

So that is my project for this challenge.  I think I did better with the descriptions.  Let me know what you think with a comment.  Or would you prefer just a list of everything I used?  I am good either way.

Bright blessings for your best week ever!  Jana

Challenge #159 'Add a heart'

Dear friends and family,  Happy Valentine's Day!  Hope you are all having a wonderful time in whatever you are doing.

So for this fortnights challenge, the theme is add a heart.  There are so many ideas that pop into my head.  But first let see who our sponsor(s) are for this challenge.

Scrap N Dipity

Prize-3 digital images

Prize-3 digital images

Oh my golly gracious, make sure you visit and give them both some love.  They both have fabulous images.  My image this challenge is called Love Fairy 2015 and is by Scrap N Dipity (the image name on the CGCC web site is incorrect) What a fun image to color and create with.  So lets look at the card I have made.

(Picture Heavy, sorry)

Here are the two completed cards.

The purple card

The inside

The back.
I love decorating the back.
Never know what might show up.

The green card

This turned out to be a birthday card for our new employee at our shop.

And again the back of the card.

For the past few weeks, Hobby Lobby was having a clearance sale.  They are downsizing or re-designing the paper craft area.  They had a lot of supplies, stamps, tool and machines on sale.  I was one of the lucky ones to get a Gemini by Crafters Companion.  It was originally 179.99 and I got it for $45.00.  Score one for me.  So in the coming weeks, I will show off all my dies and embossing folders.

So grateful to have you visit this week.  Bright Blessings and have your best week ever!!!

Challenge #158 Crafty Gals Corner Challenge

Hello everyone!  How has this week been treating you?  It's Wednesday.  When I think of Wednesday I think of the commercial a few years back of the talking camel asking office workers what day it is?  The camel responds, it's hump day.  This commercial still tickles my funny bone.  Don't ask me what this has got to do with todays post, I haven't the faintest idea.  But that darned camel popped into my thinking.

So today starts a new challenge.  Crafty Gals Corner Challenge is proud to have as our sponsor this week The Paper Shelter.  Here is the logo and the prize for this next challenge.

PRIZE:  $15 Gift Certificate

The Paper Shelter generously provided images ready to use for projects.  Please visit and show some love.  It really is an outstanding shop!

My project this week is the file called The Snow Maiden. She is a part of the Winter Princesses Collection.  Which by the way is on sale right now!  So let me show you what I created.

The Front

I really LOVE the new sentiment.

I am not sure who this lovely is going to go too.  I have a few dear friends with birthdays coming up.  Now the next challenge is #159 and will be starting on February 17th, 2018.  I am wishing you a fabulous Valentines Day.  Even if you are single, treat yourself to some goodies.  You deserve it!!!

Big Hugs and Bright Blessings, Jana

Challenge # 157 Anything Goes

Welcome back!  So happy that you found time in your day to visit!!!

Crafty Gals Corner Challenge #157 is anything goes.  I do have a new rule to pass on.  Since we are now every two weeks with a challenge (200+) entries, please limit your entries to 3 projects.  Those three are ATG and the team can't wait to see your creations.  So lets get started with our FABULOUS SPONSOR(S) for this challenge.

Oh my golly gracious!  Do you see the amazing sponsors for the next 2 weeks?  Please please go show them some love.  Thank them for sponsoring this challenge!

On to what I was so lucky to create an example using the wonderful Pretty Grafik Design. My creation is an example called Baby Safari.  Here is what I came up with.

This is a box card.  I have had the pattern for years.

Here is the card folded up to send.

Here is a side view.

I am lucky enough to have a Silver Bullet Die Cutting Machine and I use Sure Cuts A Lot 4 Software to cut images.  Thank goodness, I wouldn't be on ANY design team if I didn't have my cutter.  My hands just can't fuzzy cut anymore.  You know, getting older is not for the young!

That is it for this fortnight (a fortnight is 2 weeks).  If you would like more info just email me at

Bright blessings, Jana
