A Play On Words...

Welcome back to another every other Saturday post.  So happy you could drop by.  This weeks project features a play on words.  There are two birthday cards that i made with the help of Scrappy Dew Digital Files.  But first, the lyrics...

~Snow Princess 2016 ScrappyDew Digital File
~Scrap Recollection paper
~DCWV Glitter Stack
~White Sakura Gel Pen
~Prang Metallic Markers
~Stampin Up Princess Birthday Set (retired)
~Silver Bullet Pro 24" Cutter
~Sure Cuts A Lot V4.044
~3M Spray Adhesive
~Fiskars Corner Punch/embosser
~3D pop dots
~Font Curlz MT

A while back, I found at goodwill a set of 3 books that are all different layouts for cards and scrapbook pages.  The books are by Jeanette R. Lynton the Founder of Close to my heart products.  So I picked out a card example and used it as a template.  Usually I glance at the wonderful Mojo Mondays sketches that Michellemybelle makes cutting files for.  Go check it out!!!

So with sketch in hand I went to work on making the Snow Princess.  She is really straight forward in piecing if you have done any ScrappyDew files before.  A trick I always use is to look at the layout map of the item you are piecing for the arrangement.

Can I brag about my Silver Bullet Cutter for a minute?  I needed to make the snowflakes that go on the crown.  I also wanted them to be glitter paper.  I thought that my Silver Bullet would handle it.  But look at the results... Sherri Jensen convinced me to get the most cutter I could afford.  Boy, she was so right!
The snowflakes are only 1/4 of an inch.  Just look
at the perfect cuts.
So here are the finished cards.  I like to make envelopes to go with the cards and I added something special for the front of the envie.  So here we go!!!

I hope you found the play on words.  I have more birthday cards and some Easter cards to share with you in the coming weeks.  But for now, bright blessings, Jana
