January 3, 2015 my 3 daughters helped me to cross off another bucket list adventure.  I have started a scrapbook containing all the events that I (with the girls help) have accomplished.  But first, the lyrics...

~ScrappyDew file All Tangled Up
~Santa and Friends Sled
~Recollections Card Stock
~DCWV Metallic Stack
~Sure Cuts A Lot V4 Software
~My Amazing Silver Bullet 24" Cutter

~and all the stuff that I always forget...

I AM NOT A SCRAPBOOKER!  I am a big card maker and that is my comfort zone.  But I gave it a go and this is what I have created to remember the fun times we had while freezing our butts off standing in line in 30 degree weather that night.  All of us really did have a fun time.  So here is the layout.

These are the finished pages.  My DIL Heather took the pics.

For not being a scrapbooker, not too shabby!  Now make sure to head over to Madge!  She has a wonderful project to get your Holiday mojo started!

Thank you so much for visiting.  Rhapsody on Paper has a Facebook page that I am always updating.  Come on over and take a look!  Well that's it for me.  Going on Vacation until the first week in January.  I'll be back with a mixed media project featuring ScrappyDew!  Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

That's a wrap!

I am so happy today.  I get to show you all the cards that I have made for the 2015 edition of the Holiday House Bazaar.  It's the only bazaar that I do all year.  Welcome to Rhapsody on Paper's normal Saturday post.  So glad you could join me on this important day.  This post will be a slightly different format.  I will show each card and give the lyrics underneath the photo.  So lets get busy.

First up are the specialty cards I made this year.  Living in Oregon, we have 2 fantastic state universities.  The U of O Ducks and the Oregon State Beavers.  I made slider cards including envelopes for each team.  Let's start with the Ducks.
The front of the card.  I used the ScrappyDew Homecoming Palz 2012
file which can be found in the Vault.

Next up are the Oregon State Beavers.  Used the exact same format as the Duck cards.

Part 1, Holiday House Bazaar 2015

Way back in January, I had asked my dear friend Michelle (michellesmybellecreations) to remind me in July to start getting ready to make the huge batch of cards for the Holiday House Bazaar (Holiday House 2015, Newport, Oregon).  If you follow ScrappyDew on facebook, then you saw and hopefully participated in the Christmas in July promotion!  This was her way of saying, "Jana, get your cards started, NOW!"

So I did. (ya, hard to believe but i did) I got every element cut out and there they sat.  They sat and sat until the end of October.  Then it became crunch time.  I have been holed up in the studio gluing and folding getting the first bath of 100 done.  I have also finished all the envelopes (200).  So here are the lyrics...

~ScrappyDew Home Coming Palz 2012
      *Football pattern
~Recollections Solid Colors
     *Orange, Beige
~NeeNah Black card stock
Foil Master Machine and Red Foil
~My Incredible Silver Bullet 24" Pro cutter
~Sure Cuts A Lot V4
~200 Pennies
~A Gazillion of pop dots
~Font is Antiqua 101
~2 cans of 3M super 77 spray adhesive
~My trusty needle nosed tweesers

Having everything already cut was a huge bonus.  I cut each element of the card and put into a a ziploc snack bag and then into a GLAD WARE plastic container.  It's just a matter of creating an assembly line.  Standing on my GelPro mats makes it so much easier on my lower back.  Also listening to MountainChill Radio on iTunes and having Febreze Jolly Pine wax melts in the warmer, I was all set for a long crafting couple of weeks.  So here are the Football Slider cards for Oregon State University I have made.

All 100 cards into 20 5 card bundles

This is my bazaar travel bag.  It stays packed with
leftover card from the year before.  Has a handle and
is really easy rolling.  (from Tuesday Morning 4 years ago)

The only thing left to be ready for the Bazaar is to put the hang tags on each bundle of cards.  Below you can see all the elements for the next batch.  100 University of Oregon Football slider cards.

Next weeks post!

Thank you so much for joining me on this Saturday!  I am off to finished the next batch of Bazaar cards.

A favorite and quick file!

We all have them.  A tried and true favorite file that in a crunch we pull up.  Well I really needed that file today!  In all honesty, I didn't think I would have a post today.  I am neck deep in my Christmas Bazaar cards and I just happened to look at my planner.  Holy Shiitaki mushrooms!  I have a very important birthday card, which to get to the person, needs to be mailed tomorrow.  Thank goodness for ScrappyDew files.  Here are the lyrics...

~ScrappyDew Bear Clowns 2013 (a favorite of mine)
~Recollections scraps
~Neenah black cardstock
~An amazing amount of sparkles
~Colored wire
~Glue dots
~Sure Cuts A Lot V4
~My incredible Silver Bullet 24" cutter
~All the tools that you know about

This card is one that I can put together rather quickly.  The most time consuming part is picking out all the colors.  I have my scraps separated by color and size in file folders in Creative Options 12x12 plastic containers that I have cornered the market on at Costco.  (last count was 50 of them sitting on a bakers rack in my studio)  So it's all about the colors and the sparkles.  So here is what I designed...

Fast but a stunner!

Here is a close up look...I might have gone overboard
with the sparkles...

So the card is in the mail in the morning.  It's an international card so it needs at least 2 weeks to get there.  I really think I created something over the top.  Go Me!

Now for next week I hope to start showing my creations for the Christmas Bazaar.  And then on Dec. 1st, I have a really big announcement.  So stayed tuned!

Bright blessings, Jana
